Curriculum
Amir’s Sourcebook and Program Manual are developed each year by experienced environmental educators and Amir Farmer alumni. The curriculum is specifically designed for the summer camp environment, engaging campers with programs designed for a variety of learning styles – visual, aural, physical, logical, verbal, social, and solitary. Amir’s educators understand that every child learns differently; the garden is an ideal space for all types of learners.
Amir’s educators and alumni have years of experience facilitating impactful programs in the garden, so Amir Farmers are provided everything they need to manage a beautiful, educational garden program. Amir’s curriculum contains a multitude of resources to make the Farm a space for experiential Jewish education at camp. Through engaging with ancient Jewish agricultural wisdom, then applying the lessons into the farmscape, campers are invited to explore the agricultural core of Judaism as a land-based philosophy, tradition, and religion.
