Organizing community gardens is difficult. The saying “It takes a village to raise a child” holds true to gardens as well; it takes the care and commitment of an entire community to see a garden grow from dirt to fruit. If accepted to Amir, you will be placed in a camp community ready to commit to our project; it will be your responsibility to ensure the project’s success. You will need to be engaging, charismatic, and passionate about our cause. You will need to inspire children, influence hearts and minds of others, and motivate entire communities to harness the power of gardening to serve those in need. Up for this challenge? We welcome you to apply to our Farming Fellowship.
